Employee Spotlight: Paul

FileMaker developer Paul Beyrouty joined AppWorks last year, and has been a fantastic addition to the AppWorks team. Connoisseur and craftsman of fancy beers, Paul is known for bringing his baked goods and brews to the office for all to enjoy.

AppWorks also greatly appreciates Paul’s easy-going demeanor and willingness to collaborate on client projects. President of AppWorks, Kimberly Carlson, notes “(Paul) has jumped right into several projects with nary a complaint and has resolved many issues elegantly and with minimal revisions. He is a welcome addition to the AppWorks team and someday we hope to lure him into full-time work.” Owner and CEO of AppWorks, Matt Navarre, recognizes that “Paul is always willing to help customers with issues large or small. He can throw himself into projects, calmly sort through code, and solve the issue. And he is fun to work with through all of this.”

Paul’s experience and can-do attitude is greatly valued by clients as well. Client Sam adds “Paul has helped me several times with our database; he never ceases to impress me with his knowledge, humor, and efficiency.  He listens carefully to my problem and often presents a couple of solutions, offering pros and cons to each one. He’s a pleasure to work with!”

“It has been a great experience working with Paul during our Program Set up.  The transition to our new system was made so much easier through Paul’s work and guidance.  Paul is always quick to respond to questions and has helped develop a system which has allowed us to streamline our processes.”

Outside of the office, Paul camps and hikes his way through the great Pacific Northwest. On the home front, Paul enjoys gardening and spending time with his wife, daughter, and German Shepherd mix, Nola. You can also catch him playing Civilization. For gastronomically inclined readers, Paul suggests you check out DOC for their cuisine and raw wine pairings. Paul was wowed by a travel trip to Iceland, and would next like to visit Belgium (Brouwerij de Sint-Sixtusabdij van Westvleteren, to be exact). Paul has a degree in philosophy, and often leaves AppWorks pondering which client he’ll positively impact next.
